Police arrest two men in
Kailua home invasion

Police arrested two men in connection with a home invasion robbery in the Coconut Grove area of Kailua early yesterday morning.

Police arrested a 34-year-old homeless man from Waimanalo at 2:10 p.m. yesterday for two counts of second-degree attempted murder and one count of first-degree robbery.

A 23-year-old Kailua man was arrested in Kaneohe at 6:15 last night for first-degree robbery.

Police were looking for the third suspect in the 1:30 a.m. robbery.

Police said three masked men wearing black broke into a Kailua home and struck a man, 48, and woman 47, on the head with a pipe-like instrument and forced them to open a safe.

The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The woman was later found to have bleeding in the brain.
