Moore, Sajak team up

Joe Moore and Pat Sajak team up on stage next month for "The Honeymooners: The Lost Episodes," at Hawaii Theatre as a benefit for Manoa Valley Theatre.

Written by the original "Honeymooners" writing team of Marvin Marx, Walter Stone, Syd Zelinka, A.J. Russell, Howard Harris and Leonard Stern, and adapted for the stage, the play features some of the funniest moments from the classic 1950s TV sketches.

Moore will play bombastic bus driver Ralph Kramden, with Pat Sajak as his brain-deficient but lovable sidekick, sewer worker Ed Norton. Their harebrained get-rich-quick schemes and other misadventures make for two hours of side-splitting laughs.

Jim Hutchison will direct the production, also featuring Katie Doyle as Alice Kramden and Jeannie Rogers as Trixie Norton. Bob Whiting and Jimmy Borges will contribute voice talent as deejay and radio singer, respectively.

Tickets are $17.50, $27.50 and $37. There is a $3 senior discount and a $5 discount for MVT 2003-04 season subscribers, PBS Hawaii member card holders and Hawaii Theatre Center members.
