More than 1,000 officers from federal, military, and local law-enforcement agencies participated in the 19th annual First Hawaiian Bank Troy Barboza Law Enforcement Torch Run yesterday to kick off this year's four-day Special Olympics. Honolulu Police Department Deputy Chief Paul Putzulu carried the "Flame of Hope" during the run, which started at the state Capitol and ended in downtown Honolulu's Tamarind Park.
