You look d'lish
From face masks and peels harnessing the essences of pumpkin, papaya and allspice, to Philosophy's yummy collection of cinnamon bun, banana nut bread and chocolate-chip scented bath and body products, a trip to the makeup counter is enough to make a girl hungry.

COURTESY DESSERT

In spite of the delicious aromas, however, one would have to be a fool to gobble up the colored gels and creams -- until now.
Pop star Jessica Simpson -- who may not be as lolo as "Newlyweds" makes her seem -- teamed up with Randi Shindler to come up with a line of edible, calorie-free cosmetics dubbed Dessert. Shindler's prior hit was Clean, the non-perfumy scent that makes anyone smell like they just stepped out of the shower.
The logic might be that women tend to ingest lipsticks and gloss while they're eating, so why not go all the way?
Some of Desserts taste better than others. The Kissable Whipped Body Cream ($34, complete with a capload of multi-colored candy sprinkles) is more delectable than the chocolate Kissable Body Gloss ($32), for instance. But sample them for yourself when Sephora, at Ala Moana Center, hosts a free "tasting party" from noon to 4 p.m. June 12.
The products intersect between angelic and devilish territory, with lip gloss ($21) similar to other flavored products geared toward teens, while the body creams, Belly Button Love Potion Fragrance and lickable body fragrances are more closely allied with adult-market products.
Let's just say Dessert girls always want to be sexy and smoochable. Call Sephora at 944-9797 for more information.
'First Date' at Macy's
Macy's Ala Moana presents the ultimate reality show experience for fashion students from the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Apparel and Product Design and Merchandising School. The students will stage a show for some tough critics indeed, consumers with the power to buy or dismiss their wares.
The theme of the show taking place at 1 p.m. Saturday is "First Date," with garments suitable for a day at the beach, a casual dinner or more formal evening on the town.
Clothing will be available for purchase during a trunk show, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
A date with a bachelor will also be auctioned, with proceeds benefiting the school.
