Trojans earn spot
in OIA playoffs

Facing a do-or-die situation, Mililani held off a Leilehua comeback attempt to win 61-50 and clinch a spot in the OIA girls basketball playoffs.

The Trojans exploded to a 24-3 first-quarter lead. But it nearly wasn't enough, as the Mules responded by outscoring the Trojans 31-15 over the next two quarters to pull within six.

Mililani, Leilehua, and Kapolei finished in a tie for third place in the OIA West. But the Mules had already lost to the Hurricanes and missed the playoffs.
