Star-Bulletin staff
Punahou passed Kahuku as the No. 2 team in the Star-Bulletin's top 10 girls basketball media poll.
The Buffanblu won two games last week, while the Red Raiders fell victim to Roosevelt for their first loss of the season.
OIA West division champion Radford broke into the poll at No. 8, while Kamehameha (5-4) tumbled out.
Konawaena, No. 1 all season long, received a unanimous vote for the top spot for the first time.
Only three points separate the No. 3 through No. 5 teams -- Kahuku, Iolani and Kalaheo.
Kaiser and Baldwin remained entrenched at No. 6 and No. 7, while McKinley moved up one spot to No. 8.
Maryknoll made the biggest downward move, falling two places to No. 10.
Punahou made its rise to No. 2 in time to face two of its biggest tests of the regular season -- Kamehameha and Iolani -- this week.
