Korean group hosts community drug forum
A seven-member panel of state law enforcement leaders will gather tomorrow to address drug use in the Keeaumoku and Kapiolani areas.
U.S. Attorney Ed Kubo and Drug Free Hawaii Coalition Director Alan Shinn are among those who will speak.
The forum is sponsored by the Korean-American Women's Club.
Several Korean Americans also are expected to give personal accounts during the forum of the effects of drug use on families and the community.
The free forum will include a question-and-answer session and a Korean interpreter. The event is scheduled from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Ala Moana Hotel's Plumeria Room.

Boy critically injured in Mililani stabbing
A 17-year-old boy was critically injured early yesterday after being stabbed during an argument at a post-prom party in Mililani.
A 20-year-old man was arrested after the incident. Police said he will likely be charged with second-degree attempted murder.
The stabbing occurred at about 12:30 a.m. yesterday when a group of young people tried to crash a post-prom party at a Mililani home.
Police say an invited guest stabbed one of the party crashers. The victim, who had a stab wound to his midsection, was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in critical condition.
