MIL Baseball

With first place in the MIL at stake, Baldwin beat Lahainaluna 2-1 at Iron Maehara Stadium when Jared Keyes led off the bottom of the seventh with a walk-off home run over the left-field fence.

Baldwin improved to 11-0, while Lahainaluna dropped to 9-2.

Roosevelt 54, Castle 37
Nicole Yoshimoto scored nine of her 14 total points during a big third quarter for the Rough Riders, assuring a win over the Knights last night.

Tati Beasley led both teams in scoring with her 15, including one of Roosevelt's five from 3-point range. Tiare Kahoekapu was Castle's high scorer, putting up 10 points.

The Rams had a slow start but finished strong to remain undefeated in the OIA West with a win over the Marauders.

The Rams failed to score in the first quarter but rallied to lead 13-9 at halftime. Waipahu closed to 19-18 after the third but was outscored 16-8 in the fourth.

Joanne Czumalowski scored 16 points to lead Radford. Nicole Enos scored 12 for Waipahu.

Christina Korodan scored a game-high 20 points and Erica James added 12 as the Trojans defeated the Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes, who trailed the entire game, had no answer for Korodan, who drove to the hoop for most of the night. Ceclie Ma'afala pulled down 17 rebounds for Mililani.

Kayla Kam hit the game's only 3-pointer to lead Kapolei with nine points.

Na Alii pulled away in the fourth quarter to pick up their first OIA West win over the Seariders.

Aiea led 26-21 entering the fourth and outscored Waianae 15-8 for the win.

Nicole Takemoto led Aiea with 16 points and Jamie Rosario added in 10.

Daina Correa hit two 3-pointers and finished with 10 points for the Waianae.
