Baseball
Kalani took advantage of two costly errors by Castle pitcher Kaimi Ah New to tally the game-winning run in the top of the seventh in a 3-2 win over Castle.
The Falcons' Wilson Kato led off the seventh with a single and advanced to second on Ah New's wild pickoff attempt at first. Derin Goya then laid down a sacrifice bunt that Ah New fielded cleanly, but threw in the dirt to first allowing Kato to score.
Kalani's Randy Kitagawa came on in relief of starter Darren Takemoto with no outs in the sixth and a runner on second. Center fielder Trevor Teraoka's circus catch held the runner at second, preventing the go-ahead run from scoring. Kitagawa then retired the next five batters he faced.
