Surf pro Garcia leaves hospital
BELLS BEACH, Australia » Hawaii surfer Sunny Garcia was released from a hospital today, one day after getting into trouble while competing in the Rip Curl Pro.
Garcia was carried from the water's edge at Bells Beach yesterday after suffering from what appeared to be a severe migraine headache or a pinched nerve in his neck, tournament officials said.
Garcia was taken to Geelong Hospital, where tests were performed and he was kept overnight for observation.
He had been leading Taylor Knox of California in round three, but was forced to withdraw with 10 minutes left.
Garcia, a three-time Rip Curl Pro winner and 2000 world champion, was out of action the last 12 months following knee reconstruction.

Reyes drilled a three-run shot in the second inning as HPU erupted for 10 runs on nine hits. She also hit a three-run triple in the same inning. But Reyes wasn't done for the day, as the junior added a double in the fourth and a grand slam in the fifth. Reyes just missed hitting for the cycle.
