The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

The stock of Hawaiian Airlines' parent continued its resurgence as it soared 9.1 percent to outpace 10 other stocks this week in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index. Hawaiian Holdings Inc. reached its highest level in more than four weeks in closing yesterday at $3.94. The shares are up 31.8 percent this year -- the second best performance in the index -- despite the airline's bankruptcy.
Cyanotech Corp., the best performer last year with a 370 percent gain, posted the worst week with a 4.9 percent drop to $1.17. It is the index's worst performer this year with a decline of 37.8 percent.
