Infant drowns in tub when left with sister
An 8-month-old girl apparently drowned in a bathtub at her Mililani home Wednesday, police said.
Police said the father had left the infant playing in the tub with her 2-year-old sister while he cleaned up in another room.
Police said the father had left the drain plug open so the tub would not fill with water, but when he returned to the bathroom, he found the drain plugged and the tub partially filled.
Police said the father found the baby unresponsive and being held by her sister. The baby was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital at 2:41 p.m.
Police said there were no signs of foul play.
