Fry up salmon
and avocado


This dish comes from Miyako Restaurant and was presented on "Hawaii's Kitchen" Sunday. The show airs at 5:30 p.m. on KHON/Fox.

Salmon Fry

Thin slices of salmon
Salt to taste
1/2 avocado, sliced lengthwise
Curry powder
2 egg whites, whipped
10 ounces chopped almonds
Vegetable oil, for frying

Season salmon lightly with salt. Roll avocado slices in slices of salmon. Roll in curry powder. Dip in egg white, then coat with almonds. Deep fry in medium-hot oil about 2 minutes, until salmon is cooked. Slice each roll in half at an angle and garnish with lemon.
