AN HONOR WELL DESERVED: Kahu Emeritus William Kaina, left, and Kahauanu Lake were the guests of honor as "Uncle K" and Kawaiaha'o Church were inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame on Feb 29. Harry B. Soria Jr. emceed the ceremonies in the church, and joined the honorees and other invitees for a post-show lu'au hosted by Hawea Waia'u.

AUGIE'S HOT AT THE MOON!: High energy stand up comic Augie T, third from left, talked with Kathy Mawae, left, Marti Kerton, and Brew Moon owner Marcus Bender after successfully introducing some hot new material at "da Moon" on Wednesday. Augie's bits on racism, drugs, ethnicity and pop culture transcend the limits of insular "local" comedy. He's a fine physical comic as well.
