WITH ALOHA FROM LED: Ledward Kaapana, left, talked backstage with Indian guitarist Debashish Bhattacharya, center, and his brother, Subhasis, who plays tabla, after the first half of the brothers' concert at the Honolulu Academy of Arts on Feb. 28. Debashish thrilled the capacity plus crowd with his cross-cultural approach to traditional Indian music. Kaapana sat in for the encore.

AUGIE'S HOT AT THE MOON!: High energy stand up comic Augie T, third from left, talked with Kathy Mawae, left, Marti Kerton, and Brew Moon owner Marcus Bender after successfully introducing some hot new material at "da Moon" on Wednesday. Augie's bits on racism, drugs, ethnicity and pop culture transcend the limits of insular "local" comedy. He's a fine physical comic as well.
