The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

Bank of Hawaii Corp. and CB Bancshares Inc. both hit all-time closing highs this week to lead the way in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index.
The top performer, Bank of Hawaii, rose 3.3 percent to end yesterday at $47.15. CB Bancshares, parent of City Bank, gained 2.1 percent to finish at $70.54.
Alexander & Baldwin Inc., the third best performer with a rise of 1.4 percent, hit a 14-year high on Monday when it reached $34.88. That was the highest level for the stock since it reached $35.75 on Jan. 19, 1990. A&B ended the week at $34.46.
