>> Astronomer Paul Kalas, of the University of California at Berkeley, contributed to research that led to the discovery of a planet-forming dust ring around the star AU Microscopium. Other team members were Brenda Matthews, of UC-Berkeley, and Michael Liu and Jonathan Williams, both of the University of Hawaii. A Page A3 article on Friday named Liu but failed to name the others.
