Movies opening in theaters this Friday are:
"Hidalgo": Viggo Mortensen follows his "Lord of the Rings" role by playing 1890 cowboy Frank T. Hopkins, who is invited to compete in a 3,000-mile horse race, the Ocean of Fire, for survival across the deserts of Arabia. Hopkins' reputation as the greatest rider in the West is put to the test as he and his horse, Hidalgo, compete against the world's greatest Arabian horses and Bedouin riders. (PG-13)
"Starsky & Hutch": This prequel to the popular 1970s cop TV show tells the story of Dave Starsky (Ben Stiller) and Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson (Owen Wilson) and their first big case involving a former college drug dealer (Vince Vaughn) turned white-collar criminal. Snoop Dogg takes on the role of fly street informer Huggy Bear. (PG-13)
