Korean War veterans and their families attended a medallion awards ceremony yesterday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Veterans received medallions for their service in Korea in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the war. Korean War veteran Richard Higa received a medal of honor from Eugene Chin Yu, President of Freedom League USA, as retired Col. Robert Lichtenberger, far right, watched. Below is a close-up of the medallion.
