Fourth Annual Nuuanu Mardi Gras Block Party: Downtown street party celebrates Fat Tuesday, 6:30 to 10 p.m. Tuesday on Nuuanu Avenue between Pauahi and King street, features New Orleans Cuisine by Hank's Cafe Honolulu, Indigo Restaurant, Tea at 1024, Murphy's Bar & Grill, Kevin's Two Boots, Fort Street Bar & Grill, Paul and Terry's Place. Performance artist Gigi Otalvaro-Hormillosa -- aka "The Devil Bunny in Bondage" -- will put on a free public performance at 8 p.m. today at the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Art Auditorium. He combines movement, text, video and percussion to explore what he calls "eromestizaje," a constant, yet shifting interplay between mixed racial and sexual identities.
