The top six teams stayed put in the Star-Bulletin's top 10 high school basketball media poll this week.

But after that, there was plenty of change. Castle, which entered the poll for the first time last week at No. 7, dropped out after losing to McKinley in the Oahu Interscholastic Association quarterfinals.

Kaimuki, which spent a small portion of the season at No. 10, re-entered the poll at No. 7 after beating Nanakuli and Leilehua to advance to Wednesday's OIA semifinals against Kalaheo.

With playoff victories over Castle and Pearl City, McKinley jumped into the poll for the first time this season.

The Tigers are tied at No. 9 with two neighbor island teams -- Baldwin and Waiakea, last week's No. 9 and No. 10 teams.

After wrapping up the Kauai Interscholastic Federation championship, Waimea remained at No. 8.

No. 1 Iolani and No. 5 Maui also captured league titles last week.
