The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

Hawaiian stock deflates
The air came out of the stock of Hawaiian Airlines' parent this week after Corporate Recovery Group and Boeing Capital Corp. filed a reorganization plan that included the cancellation of existing Hawaiian Holdings Inc. shares. Hawaiian Holdings' shares plunged 32 percent to $2.98 as the worst performer in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index. Hawaiian's stock, which exactly a week ago was up 46.5 percent for the year, had hit an intraday high of $5.10 on Monday. The shares are now down 0.3 percent in 2003.
ML Macadamia Orchards LP was the top gainer as it soared 10.8 percent to $4, marking its highest level since reaching $4.05 on March 15, 2001.
