Students sought for
study tour to China

All Hawaii public and charter high school students, from grades nine through 12, are eligible to apply for up to 20 full scholarships for a summer study tour to China, sponsored by the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council.
The study tour will address international relations and commerce, cultural resource management and human migration. It includes orientation on Oahu from June 14 to July 7. The itinerary includes Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Xian, Yangshuo, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
Scholarships include round-trip air fare, all transfers and group domestic travel, all lodging, three meals daily, all admission costs for group activities and group travel insurance. Scholarships are funded by a grant from the Freeman Foundation.
Involvement by students in council clubs or after-school classes is preferred but not required.
