The Judicial Council is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the state Ethics Commission that will occur June 30.
The commission regulates the ethics of all legislators, registered lobbyists, and state employees (except judges, who are governed by the Commission of Judicial Conduct). It is responsible for investigating complaints, providing advisory opinions, and enforcing decisions by the commission.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, state residents, and may not hold any other public office.
Interested people should submit an application, a resume and three letters of recommendation attesting to character and integrity by Feb. 20. Send them to the Judicial Council, Hawaii Supreme Court, 417 S. King St., Second Floor, Honolulu, HI 96813-2902.
