Asashoryu moves to 7-0


TOKYO >> Yokozuna Asashoryu remained undefeated by beating Tamanoshima (1-6) today by tsukidashi (frontal thrust out) at the New Year Grand Sumo Tournament.

Asashoryu improved to 7-0 for the tournament.

Chiyotaikai, Tochiazuma, Kotomitsuki and Kakizoe each won today to remain tied for second place at 6-1.
