The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

Hawaiian rises again
Hawaiian Holdings Inc., continuing to soar despite its airline subsidiary being in bankruptcy, rose 3 percent this week to lead 10 other stocks in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index.
The company, which closed yesterday at $2.71, is up 32.2 percent over the last 52 weeks but down 9.4 percent so far this year.
CB Bancshares Inc., which reports earnings next week, rose 2 percent to $64.75.
Cyanotech Corp., the top performer in 2003 with a 370 percent return, fell 4.8 percent to $1.95. Its shares are up 3.7 percent in 2004.
