Loretta and Jerry Mageo filled out applications while searching for jobs at Job Quest yesterday at the Neal Blaisdell Center. The event attracted approximately 5,000 people and featured recruiters from more than 80 local businesses, mainland organizations, military branches and government agencies.

HTA sets dates for NFL clinics
The state Hawaii Tourism Authority will hold its second year of National Football League youth training clinics throughout the state from Jan. 31 to Feb. 7.
The Pro Bowl Youth Clinics will reach more than 3,000 youngsters by Pro Bowl game day on Feb. 8. NFL players in the program also will visit middle and high schools around the state.
The following clinics are scheduled:
>> Jan. 31, 11 a.m.-1:15 p.m., Vidinha Stadium, Lihue, Kauai
>> Feb. 3, 3-5:30 p.m., Keaau High School Stadium, Hilo, Big Island
>> Feb. 4, 3-5:30 p.m., Kealakehe Stadium, Kona, Big Island
>> Feb. 5, 3-5:30 p.m., Keopulani Park, Wailuku, Maui
>> Feb. 7, Session One (Middle School), 7:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m., Waipio Soccer Stadium; Session Two (High School), 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Waipio Soccer Stadium

HVCB to network in Texas event
The Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau is taking part in a three-day trade show and networking event of Meeting Professionals International next week in San Antonio.
The group's 2004 Professional Education Conference - North America is expected to grab nearly 2,000 meeting professionals nationwide.
