Hawaiian No. 1 in on-time flights

Hawaiian Airlines again had the most on-time arrivals of any airline in the nation, with flights arriving on time 93.3 percent of the time in November.

JetBlue Airways and Southwest Airlines trailed and were 88.8 percent and 85.5 percent on time, respectively, according to the monthly Air Travel Consumer Report from the U.S. Department of Transportation. A flight is on time if it operated within 15 minutes of the schedule time in the airlines' computerized reservations systems.

November was the first month Hawaiian began reporting monthly flight data to the DOT. An earlier industry analysis by QMark Research & Polling showed that Hawaiian was the most on-time airline in the first 10 months of 2003, at 92.1 percent on-time, Hawaiian said.

The venture, called Inter Island Home Loans, is an operating division of Countrywide Mortgage Ventures LLC.

Countrywide, headquartered in Calabasas, Calif., has more than 500 offices nationwide. The venture will offer several options, including zero down-payment loans.
