‘Piranha’ turns 2
The Ocean Club's popular "Piranha Room" monthly event at Restaurant Row celebrates its 2-year anniversary with another edition of "Sin City."
Flying in from Las Vegas comes another guest DJ, DMixx from Rum Jungle. There'll also be a fashion show by BEBE.
Hosted each month by photographer Russell Tanoue, the event benefits Project Shine, the charity founded by Tanoue that offers makeovers and photo session to those suffering from cancer and other debilitating illnesses.
Doors open at 8 p.m. and the party starts at 9 and goes 'til 4 in the morning. Admission for those 21 and over is a $5 cover before 9 and $10 afterwards -- and, as always, dress to dazzle! For info, call 531-8444 or go to the club's Web site at oceanclubonline.com.
In other special holiday events, Yvonne Elliman will join Tino & the Rhythm Klub for a special "Disco Fever" dance concert tomorrow night at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island, starting at 9 and going to midnight.
Tickets for the combo concert/dance party are $40 adults and $25 for children under 12. "Attire is resort chic (and) platform shoes and Angel Flight suits are welcome and encouraged." For reservations, call 808-886-1234, ext. 54.
