in Aiea heist

Honolulu police are looking for four men who allegedly robbed an Aiea Heights convenience store this month.

Police said the suspects entered the store just after midnight last Tuesday. One suspect was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk while two other suspects took cigarettes and liquor, according to police.

Police said the fourth suspect stole several cases of beer and assaulted the clerk. All four men fled in a Honda Civic, which was stolen from Waikiki the night before the robbery, police said.

Police released pictures of the suspects taken by store surveillance cameras.

The first suspect was described as in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches, with a stocky build, dark hair, mustache and unshaven face. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a white design on the front and a black short-sleeve T-shirt with the number 187 on the front. He was armed with a black, long-barreled handgun, police said.

The second suspect was described as in his late 20s, 6 feet, with a heavy build, black wavy hair and tan complexion. He was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved T-shirt and black shorts.

The third suspect was described as in his late teens, about 5 feet 5 inches, weighing about 120 to 140 pounds, black shoulder-length hair with orange highlights, worn in a ponytail, sideburns and a tan complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue short-sleeved T-shirt and dark shorts.

The fourth suspect was described as being in his mid-20s, 5 feet 10 inches, about 160 pounds, with black hair in a ponytail, a tan complexion, a mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, blue checkered short-sleeved shirt with a gray long-sleeved T-shirt underneath and dark pants.

The getaway vehicle used was a stolen green 1994 two-door Honda Civic hatchback, license plate number GPY 349. Police recovered the vehicle in Pearl City on Saturday.
