Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa rings in the new year with special kamaaina rates good from Jan. 3 through March 31, 2004.

Rates start at $149 for a partial ocean-view room, including self parking, to $194 for an ocean-view room, with self-parking and a $25 dining credit.

Rates are per room, per night and based on double occupancy. Tax and gratuity are not included. No minimum stay is required. Rates subject to availability and restrictions may apply. Proof of Hawaii residency is required upon check-in.

The resort completed a $60 million modernization in 2002. It offers 1,310 guest rooms and suites with a private lanai providing Diamond Head and beach or mountain views.
