Kono wins HSJGA tourney of champs

Stephanie Kono topped Amanda Wilson in a sudden-death playoff to win the girls 15-18 division of the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association Tournament of Champions yesterday at Wailea Resort.

Other winners were Kellen Watabu (boys 15-18), Ayaka Kaneko (girls 13-14), T.J. Kua (boys 13-14), Ha'aheo Manini-Hew Lenn (girls 11-12), Bradley Shigezawa (boys 11-12), Justin Kim (boys 10-under), and Kyung Kim (girls 10-under).

Also, Kono and Travis Toyama were named HSJGA players of the year.
