A half-hour Honolulu Police Department television production is a "call to arms" against crystal methamphetamine, HPD Chief Lee Donohue says.
The annual "Inside HPD" will air at 7 p.m. tomorrow on KHON Fox 2. Usually the annual production covers several different topics, but this year the department wanted to tell the public what it is doing about the "ice" problem, Donohue said.
"This drug has no boundaries," said Donohue. "People from all walks of life are affected by this drug, be they users or friends and family of users. I think it's important for the public to understand the problem itself and that this is really a call to arms."
People interviewed in the program include a former ice addict who talks about her daily struggle to stay away from the drug. "Inside HPD" is produced by the police department's Audio Visual Section.
