The Martin Warehousing Toys for Tots Caravan passed through Waikiki yesterday despite heavy rain at the time. The parade began at Magic Island and made its way to Kapiolani Park. Above, Santa Fernandez waved to onlookers during the parade.

The annual "Christmas tree ship" arrived in Honolulu yesterday, and state Department of Agriculture inspectors were on hand to make sure that no unwanted insect stowaways made the trip along with the trees. Inspectors Gwen Imoto, Roy Oda and Amy Takahashi closely examined a tree and its needles.


SAILBOAT BY REMOTE

Bill Hojnacki worked on his remote control sailboat yesterday at Ala Moana Beach Park. Hojnacki is a member of the Hawaii model yacht club and comes to the park every Sunday to race his catamaran.
