SURPRISE, MARY!: Saturday was closing night for Mary Chesnut Hicks, fourth from left, in "Man of La Mancha" at Army Community Theatre, so Crystal Williams, second from left, Andrew Sakaguchi, Devin Lucid, Sherry Chock Wong, Elitei Tatafu Jr. and Suzanne Green, right, surprised her and "La Mancha" cast members Julius Dae-Sung Ahn and Zenia Zambrano by coming on Friday.

"WHEN DID YOU GET BACK?": Crystal Williams, left, surprised Mary Chesnut Hicks with a lei after the show. Williams and Hicks became friends when they worked together in Diamond Head Theatre's fall production of "Ragtime," but Williams had kept her return to Hawaii a secret until that night.

GREAT SHOW, YOU GUYS!: Crystal Williams, left, Andrew Sakaguchi and Zenia Zambrano talked with "La Mancha" principals Bryan Bender (Don Quixote), Scott Moura (Sancho Panza) and Mary Chesnut Hicks (Aldonza). Hicks' husband, Kalani, right, who played Pedro, the whip-snapping muleteer who brutalizes Aldonza, said he was looking forward to shaving off his muleteer mustache.
