>> Communications Pacific has added Kathleen Fitzgerald as Web architect and Charles Nelson as a designer. Fitzgerald was previously a user interface designer at SDG&E/SoCalGas, a subsidiary of international energy services company Sempra Energy. Nelson worked as creative director of Zazen Media in Honolulu.

>> Cory Matsumiya has been appointed Mandara Spa's Hawaii region business controller. Donna Magallones has joined the spa as human resources manager. Matsumiya will oversee all business and fiscal functions of the Hawaii region. He was most recently director of finance at Alzheimer's Association, Aloha Chapter. Magallones is responsible for human resources activities, including employee counseling, hiring, job descriptions, employee benefits and payroll. She has more than 15 years in human resources, accounting and information technology.

>> Mauna Kea Resort, comprised of Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, has hired Eduardo Andrews as engineering director and Kazuo Hosoda as Japanese restaurant sushi chef. Andrews was previously with the Hyatt (now Hilton) Waikoloa. Hosoda has extensive experience in Prince Hotels in Japan.

>> Hawaii Women's Business Center has appointed Meaghan Turner to office manager. She was previously event project manager at Campbell Peachey & Associates in Washington, D.C.
