It's one of several on display 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends through Dec. 7.

World Art Bazaar
The Honolulu Academy of Arts opens its 22nd annual World Art Bazaar tomorrow, with a global shopping bazaar featuring one-of-a-kind gift items, from holiday ornaments and creches to hand-carved, hand-sewn arts gathered from many countries.
In addition to wearable art ranging from kimono to jewelry, shopping fanatics will find vintage and contemporary accents for the home. Special offerings this year include masks, baskets and herbal soaps from Africa, vintage Chinese cookie molds, African beads, Thai Hill tribe silver necklaces, Indonesian puppets and Siberian birch-bark boxes.
Proceeds from sales support academy programs.
The event takes place in the Academy Arts Center, 1111 Victoria St. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 14.

Recital at Atherton
Twelve students from the Ellen Masaki School of Music will present a recital beginning 4 p.m. Sunday in the Atherton Performing Arts Studio to benefit Hawaii Public Radio.
The twelve, who range in age from 8 to 15, will cover a vast range of styles and periods from Bach to Bartok, with Haydn, Beethoven, Scarlatti, Chopin, Mozart, Liszt, Ginastera and many others in between.
The students participating in the recital are: Tyler Ramos, 8; Christe Yeo, 9; Tiffany Cheung, 10; Alda Lam, 11; 12-year-olds Laura Bleakley, Sophia Chen, Janice Tung, Irwin Jiang, Andrew Ramos and Maile Cha; Deborah Yeung, 13; and Michael Wu, 15.
The studio is at 738 Kaheka St. Tickets are $17.50 general, $15 for HPR members and $10 for students. For reservations, call 955-8821.
Voices of 'Messiah'
The Central Union Church 100-voice Oratorio Choir and Handel Festival Chamber orchestra will present the Christmas portion of "The Messiah," beginning 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The event will take place in the Sanctuary at 1660 S. Beretania St.
Noel Lovelace, minister of music at Central Union Church, will conduct the program featuring soprano Catherine Goto, alto Leigh Ann Braley, tenor Kalani Brady and bass Christopher Kelsey.
A free-will offering will be received to help defray orchestra expenses. For more information, call 941-0957.
Return of the circus
The New Shanghai Circus acrobats will return to Hawaii in January for a four-island tour with a new show, "Mongolian Dreams," featuring the Mongolian Archers.
From the highlands of China, these archers are able to fire arrows with their feet while hanging upside down.
Oahu performances will be at Hawaii Theatre, with showtimes at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9 and 10, and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 10 and 11. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at the Hawaii Theatre box office, at $20, $25 and $30 for adults; with a $5 discount on $20 and $25 tickets for seniors, military, and ages 12 and under. Maui: At the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, 7 p.m. Jan. 2 and 3, with a 2 p.m. matinee Jan. 3. Tickets are $10, $16 and $22 for adults, available at the MACC box office. Call 242-SHOW (7469).
Kauai: At the War Memorial Convention Hall, 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Jan. 4. Tickets are $20 for adults, and $9.95 for ages 12 and under, available at Big K-Mart, Progressive Expressions, Borders Books & Music and Hanalei Surf Company. A limited amount of Golden Circle tickets are also available at $30.
Big Island: Three locations beginning with Kealakehe High School Gymnasium in Kona, at 7 p.m. Jan. 5. Tickets are $17.50 for adults, and $7.50 for kids 12 and under. Tickets are available at Borders Books & Music, Mele Kai Music, Sam Choy's and the Student Activities Office at Kealakehe High. Also at Kahilu Theatre in Waimea, at 7 p.m. Jan. 6. Tickets are $30 for Golden Circle, $20 general, and $7.50 for 12 and under. Tickets are available at Kahilu Theatre Box Office, or charge by calling (808) 885-6868. General admission tickets are available at Byrd's Audio Supply/Kamuela and Borders Books & Music/Kailua-Kona. Lastly, Hilo gets its turn at the Afook/Chinen Civic Auditorium, 7 p.m. Jan. 8. Tickets are $17.50 for adults and $7.50 for 12 and under, available in Hilo at Borders Books & Music, Ken's Pancake House and MJS Music.
