Wreath entries sought
for city’s annual contest

The City and County of Honolulu is offering a top prize of $200 in its 18th annual Christmas Wreath Contest at Honolulu Hale.
The entry deadline for submitting the wreaths is 5 p.m. Dec. 3 at Lane Gallery on the Diamond Head end of Honolulu Hale, 530 South King St.
There are three divisions: The adult contest is open to any individual or group; the children and youth contest is open to any individual or group below 17 years of age; and the theme contest is open to any individual or group that best depicts the theme "Christmas Enchantment."
A ribbon and monetary award will be awarded to each division winner. First prize is $150; second, $100; and third, $75. The overall "Best in the Show" will receive the Mayor's Holly Award of $200, while six "Judge's Choice Awards" winners will be given $25. Each entrant may win only one award.
All entries must include a short description of the materials used to make the wreath, which will be judged on workmanship, creativity and the use of materials.
