Hawaiian on top again
Hawaiian Holdings Inc., the parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, led the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index for the second straight week as it posted an 8.2 percent gain.
The airline, which had a $2 million operating profit in October, has seen the holding company's stock trim its 2003 price loss to just 9.3 percent despite the carrier's Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy. The shares closed yesterday at $1.85.
Cyanotech Corp. saw its stock price stay above a dollar long enough to avoid delisting from the Nasdaq SmallCap Market but fell 1.9 percent for the week to $1.04.
