>> Lena Mossman has been appointed spa director of the new Spa Olakino Salon, managed by the Paul Brown companies, at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort. She recently directed the opening of Sheraton Moorea Lagoon Resort's full-service Mandara Spa in French Polynesia. She was previously operations manager of Hilton Hawaiian Village's Mandara Spa.

>> First Hawaiian Bank has promoted Vice President Gayle L. Pingree to Waipahu branch and area manager with extra duties for Kapolei, Ewa and Waianae branches; Vice President Greg Sitar has been appointed to Pearlridge branch and area manager with additional duties for Pearl City branch and business loans in the Leeward area. Vice President Stephen E. K. Kaaa has been promoted to Kahala branch manager; Assistant Vice President Steve Lim is the new Kailua branch manager. Vice President Vernon Nakamura has been assigned to the bank's main banking center as business banking officer while Vice President Ann McLean has been appointed to private banking officer.

>> Hawaii Island Economic Development Board has elected Roberta Fujimoto Chu to a third year as chairwoman. She is Hawaii Island commercial banking center manager and vice president for Bank of Hawaii. Other board officers include Vice Chair Warren Lee of HELCO; Treasurer Richard Henderson of RSI Inc.; and Secretary Robert Saunders of CSV Hospitality Management. >> Noel Trainor, Hilton Hawaiian Village general manager and Hawaii Foodbank board of directors first vice chair, has been awarded the National Jefferson Award for his contributions to the community in the spirit of volunteerism. Former First Lady Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis, Sam Beard and U.S. Sen. Robert Taft Jr. founded The National Jefferson Awards Recognition Program in 1972 to recognize exemplary dedication to community service and volunteerism. In addition, Hawaii Foodbank Director of Fund Development Polly Kauahi has received the designation of certified fund-raising executive through CFRE International. Jan Yokota has been appointed to agency relations coordinator at the Foodbank.
