Star-Bulletin staff
The world premiere of the 2003 "Mea No'eau Show" and the national AICP Show "The Art and Technique of the American Television Commercial" will be held at 6 p.m. tonight at the Doris Duke Theatre at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.
The AICP/Hawaii chapter formed a partnership with the Hawaii International Film Festival in 1995 to present the country's most prestigious commercial production show during the Hawaii International Film Festival. Tonight's show is part of the film festival's programming.
The "Mea No'eau Show," started in 1995, honors Hawaii artists in art direction, graphics and visual effects, cinematography, humor, copy writing, music and sound design, creative concept, producing and directing, editing and public service announcements. This follows the AICP Show, which premieres each year at New York's Museum of Modern Art, and honors national works in similar categories.
Admission is free on a first-come basis.
