Dennis Stanley Baker, 58, of Haiku, Maui, a high school teacher, died Oct. 14, 2003, in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Chicago. He is survived by wife Misha, son Ludwig, daughter Luana, mother Lois, stepfather Thad, brother John Stauffer, sister Donna and one grandchild. Private services.

Daisy K. Gleason, 98, of Laie, a homemaker, died Oct. 13, 2003, in Kaiser Medical Center, Moanalua. She was born in Madeira, Portugal. She is survived by son Wesley "Skip" Jr., daughters Moana "Ruth" Paris McAfee and Viola Hildreth, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Laie 5th Ward, 55-415 Iosepa St. Call after 9 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.

Marjorie McNeil Humphries-Hasenjager, 80, of Aurora, Colo., a retired quality-control analyst for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Fort Shafter, died Oct. 7, 2003, in Aurora. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Eric England, daughters Barbara A. Genda and Janet Leopardi, and nine grandchildren. Private services at Oahu Cemetery.

Adeline Leilani Kanahele, 68, of Waimanalo, a homemaker, died Oct. 14, 2003, in Honolulu. She was born on Kauai. She is survived by sons Herman Jr., Samuel J., Cordell E. and Glendale E.; daughters Darlene R. Berard and Anarita M. Kanahele; hanai son Gerard Shon; brother Richard "Like" Kaui; sisters Joanna Dela Cerna, Lorraine Smith and Irene Miyashiro; and nine grandchildren. Chiyono Kawaguchi, 97, of Kaneohe, died Oct. 14, 2003. She was born in Kona. She is survived by daughters Katie Ibaraki, Marjorie Kawaguchi, Nina Sato, Nancy Young and Anne Nakamura; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services: 6 p.m. Wednesday at Nuuanu Mortuary, east chapel. Casual attire.

Wilfred Noboru Kawamura, 86, of Honolulu, chief executive officer of W&M Bar-B-Q Burger, died Oct. 16, 2003. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Dr. Myles, daughter Sandra Sakaguchi, brother Ronald, sisters Kiyoko Kojima and Yoshiko "Nancy" Takahashi, and six grandchildren. Services: 6 p.m. Wednesday at Diamond Head Mortuary. Cremation to follow. Casual attire. No flowers.

Alapasa Pa, 67, of Honolulu, a retired fisherman, died Oct. 9, 2003. He was born on Swains Island. He is survived by sons Vatai Pa and Johnson Centeno; daughters Tinei Lautele, Tie Aleki, Ruby Aleki-Pa and Queenie Loli; brothers Toma, John, Faoato and Teseni Aleki and Iremia Tyrell; sisters Malia Lindborg and Nisa Sears; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Nancy Sumiko Sampoang, 62, of Pearl City, a retired Sears Roebuck & Co. employee, died Oct. 12, 2003. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Jeffery, daughter Vanessa Pedro and four grandchildren. Services: 7 p.m. Tuesday at Nuuanu Mortuary. Call after 6 p.m. Burial: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Valley of the Temples.
