Cub fan wears special shirt
-- to no avail


One loyal Chicago Cubs fan, Star-Bulletin Deputy City Editor Chuck Parker, showed his devotion this week as he wore not only a genuine Cubs baseball cap to work but also a T-shirt which read, "If It Takes Forever," in reference to the team's 95-year World Series championship drought. It was the first time Chuck had worn the shirt since buying it at Wrigley Field in 1995. "I've been waiting for the right moment and thought this was the year," Chuck said. After the Cubs lost games six and seven one staffer told Parker he could put the shirt away, to which Chuck replied, "Wait, till next year!" ...

Jon's dedicated service

Chuck is devoted to the Cubbies but Office Depot's Jon Welch is dedicated to providing customers with top service. When a chair could not be delivered to me at a convenient time, Jon jumped in his vehicle and delivered it himself.
