She and her mom, Shelly Hao-Tamon, ran the "keiki corner" yesterday at the Pacific Handcrafters Guild Fall Festival of Art and Fine Crafts at Thomas Square. Kids could paint marbles with their own designs. The event continues today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Teriitahi "Tahiti" Gerard tried to take down a reluctant calf during a branding competition at the Sixth Annual Paniolo Festival held at Kualoa Ranch yesterday. The festival holds various cowboy competitions and honors veteran cowboys from the islands by inducting them into the Paniolo Hall of Fame.



GIRLS RULE AT WINDWARD MALL

The sixth annual Windward Mall Family Festival gave girls a chance yesterday to play "Queen for a Day." Two-year-old Hokulani Bautista dressed up in regal attire and had her picture taken.
