‘The sky above
my house’

RICKY OSHIMA says there's beauty right outside his window, every single day. And to prove it, the amateur photographer took his camera with him as he stepped out of his St. Louis Heights home every day for more than six months and pointed it toward the sky.

The results are breathtaking.

Ricky Oshima makes it a point to look at the sky every day. From his St. Louis Heights home, Oshima took early morning shots of the sky for six months, at top and above.

Oshima's shots of the vibrant workings of nature were taken mostly during sunrise and sunset. A few, like the picture of the double rainbow at right, were taken during the daylight hours. This page shows but a sampling of his best shots.

"You don't have to go all over" to see beauty, Oshima says emphatically. "Just don't forget to look outside. The sky is beautiful on a daily basis."
