FOR THE AUTUMN MOON

Kikuko Nobusawa of the Urasenke Association of Hawaii performed a tea ceremony yesterday evening at Tsukimi no Kai, or Moonviewing Party, at Kapiolani Community College. The event celebrated the autumn moon and featured traditional Japanese food, sake, and cultural activities.

The Honolulu Orchid Society's 64th Annual Orchid, Plant and Flower Show opened yesterday at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Among those attending were Yoshi Kishinami, who looked at an elaborate display of hybrid orchids by Hui Okika O Kunia. The "mad scientist" on the right is a mannequin in a display called "Mystic Lab, 13 Mystery Lane."
