Alexander Abe competed in the Junior Boys Grass Dance at the 29th Annual Pow Wow held at Thomas Square yesterday. The event continues today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ward Avenue park between King and Beretania streets.

Ten-month-old Nicole Yamashiro performed her "ballet" move at the Taste of Kapolei yesterday after being fed some rice by her mom, Skye Yamashiro. The benefit for Leeward-area schools was sponsored by the Kapolei Rotary Club.
