Former ‘P.I.’ star
is PO’d over review
FOREVER "Magnum" Tom Selleck has been making the rounds of the talk shows to do what people do on those shows -- plug an upcoming project. In Selleck's case, it's a CBS-TV movie, "Twelve Mile Road," airing Sunday night. He'll be chatting with Craig Kilborn Friday night on his "Late, Late Show" following Letterman on -- surprise -- CBS. Who knows, maybe Kilborn will ask him his infamous "five questions." Selleck can't be too happy with Entertainment Weekly. Its brief review of "Twelve Mile Road" says, unkindly of Selleck, "... he's morphing into Wilford Brimley before our very eyes." It concludes, "Twelve Mile Road" feels 12 hours long." ...
TWO-STEPPING into the Coral Ballroom for Ballet Hawaii's "Black and White Ball" were ex-New York Broadway dancers Jim Hutchison and Steve Harmon. The two were tickled to run into old friends they knew from TV variety show appearances, Florence Henderson and Don Creighton. The pair were here for the Mrs. America Pageant, also taking place in the Village. The foursome had a reunion on Sunday night. Hutch and Steve were both in "Zeigfield Follies" with Creighton, a judge in the Mrs. America Pageant which Henderson was co-emceeing with Hal Linden. I met Henderson at the Big 4 of the Huntington Hotel in S.F. and found her quite charming. She sang quietly along with the club's pianist, so only she and her date (and a couple of nosy columnists at the next table) could hear ...

It opens Oct. 11 and plays for four Saturdays at Ft. Shafter's Richardson Theater. Mark Lutwak directs ...

Weekend warrior
IT was an exceptionally busy weekend for Shari Lynn. The morning after her final two performances in "Gypsy" at Army Community Theater, Lynn rose and headed for the Elks Club where she joined the likes of Jimmy Borges, Gabe Baltazar and numerous other musicians in saluting bandleader Del Courtney on his 93rd birthday. Then she trekked to Compadres to join her "Gypsy" compadres for a wrap party. Teaching at La Pietra the next morning was a piece of cake ...
