LOVE THE TATTOO: Record producer Kata Maduli congratulated Stacie Taniguchi at the CD release party for her debut album, "Stacie," at Gordon Biersch on Sunday. Taniguchi proved her appeal as a club performer when she closed the party with several of her originals -- "Blowin' Kisses" was the highlight. The tattoo is real and represents her island lineage and family aumakua.

"TOGETHER WHEREVER ...": Shari Lynn, left, Jakara Mato and David C. Farmer had a great time as the cast of Army Community Theatre's production of "Gypsy" celebrated the show's successful run with a party at Compadre's on Sunday. Lynn is working a tribute to Golda Meir but would be a great Mae West.

MEET KALAELOA!: Taz Vegas, right, is a founding member of Typical Hawaiians, and also plays with Ho'onu'a, but he and Les Harris have something unique going on Fridays at Compadres. They jam -- acoustic Hawaiian, Jawaiian and rock -- from 9 p.m. to midnight. Expect "Lepe'ula'ula played as acoustic rock, and a repertoire that also includes "He Ono," "Still the One," and originals.
