Lee breaks 65 at Pearl Country Club

Regan Lee shot a pair of 32s to win the Hawaii Golf Tournament Players' Club Tournament yesterday, going eight shots under par.

Oahu Country Club's Jerry Mullen was second but couldn't match Lee, finishing six stoked behind with a 70. John Lynch and Jay Shannon were third at 71. Lee teamed up with Tommy Kim to win the best ball competition with a 10-under par 62.

Seasiders make quick work of Yellowjackets

Yu Chuan Weng pounded down 13 kills to help the Brigham Young-Hawaii volleyball team beat up Montana State-Billings 30-12, 30-20, 30-21 on the road last night.

Sea Warriors survive: Hawaii Pacific gave Western New Mexico the first two games but rallied to win 28-30, 27-30, 30-25, 30-24, 15-12 last night at Silver City, N.M.

Wahine stay in second: The UH volleyball team remained second in the AVCA coaches' poll yesterday, trailing USC by 78 points. The Trojans (10-0) received each of the 65 first place votes.

Hawaii (11-1) is 39 points ahead of third place Florida (11-1). Stanford (8-2) and Georgia Tech (11-0) round out the top five.
