Atlantis celebrates turning 15 with savings

Atlantis Adventures is celebrating its 15th anniversary, by doling out discounts on tours and attraction admissions for kama'aina.

Among the deals:

Atlantis Submarines: Daily tours off Waikiki, Maui and Kona will be offered for $15 for adults, a savings of $5 off the regular kama'aina rate. Tax and fees not included. For details, call 973-9811, or 800-548-6262 for neighbor islands.

Atlantis Cruises: Receive a free bottle of champagne with the purchase of a Royal Sunset Steak and Lobster Dinner Cruise, kama'aina priced at $90 for adults and $54 for children. The cruises, aboard Navatek I, depart daily at 5:15 p.m. from Pier 6 at Aloha Tower Marketplace. Call 973-1311.

Sea Life Park: Swim with the rays for $9.99. The regular Hawaiian Ray Encounter price is $21.96 for adults and $15.48 for children. Park admission is also reduced to $9.99 for adults (regularly $12.96) and $6 for children ages 4 to 12. The park is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Call 259-7933.

Atlantis started in 1988 with a single submarine operation in Kona.

The company launched a second submarine site in Waikiki in 1989, and continued to diversify by opening a Lahaina site in 1991, purchasing the Navatek I tour boat in 2000, and providing marketing services to other visitor attractions.

Join the club at Kauai's Outrigger

The Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation on Kauai now includes the newly developed Kiahuna Swim and Tennis Club.

Club use is complimentary for Outrigger guests, who also have charging privileges at the Tennis Shop, Activity Hut and the Casablanca at Kiahuna restaurant.

The club features an 82,000-gallon pool with a waterslide and sand-bottom children's area, plus a 1,600-gallon spa featuring 10 hydrotherapy jets and submerged bench seating.

There are 10 tennis courts and a Tennis Shop, where guests can arrange for tennis lessons, racquet rentals, and sign up for organized activities.

Overlooking the tennis courts, the new Casablanca at Kiahuna features open-air seating and granite bar.

The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, with breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m., and lunch from 11: 30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A full dinner menu will be introduced later this year, along with an in-room meal delivery service.

The pool and Activity Hut are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The waterslide and children's area are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Tennis Courts open from dawn to dusk, with the Tennis Shop open from 8 a.m. to noon and 2 to 5 p.m.
